Ali moved to Pakistan to set up Pyrite Enterprises after seeing the opportunity for growth and is also involved in trading construction machinery and tools from China.

He has worked on many commercial and residential projects in Pakistan, Kazakhstan, UAE and London. He was the consulting engineer for Texon Corp. Ltd, on a luxury residential property development project in Hertfordshire, UK. He was Divisional Engineer and Project Manager where he supervised the construction of the Air Defence Camp for UAE Armed Forces.
